Slash And His 'Sweet Spot'
by Gorkez
We’ve heard Slash talk about his ‘sweet spot’: that place on stage, that
precise point where the magic happens, where there's a perfect balance between
the band and the guitar. Where Les Paul and Marshall speak, bond, and sing to make the hair on your
neck stand up. Where you choke a note and a harmonic rainbow appears, a perfect
balance wrapped in splendid feedback, infinite sustain and blues.
However, within this sweet spot lurks chaos and destruction. Riffs sting
wicked and power chords like a punch in the chops.
Slash is an altered blues/rock, very altered, nasty work in an anarchic
punk dress.
On the first part, primary, punk, chords, power. On the virtuoso part, an
incomparable riff-master. Part bluesman with a soul that sings.
The common denominator: the bond between Les Paul and Marshall.
Legendary.
