Make: Zerberus Guitars
Model: Blood Dragon
Price: € 4128.00
What you see here is a Blood-Dragon with serial number #009. I
built that masterpiece by hand and also painted it by
hand with a brush. The top is a thick quilted Maple from the hills of
Washington. The body is made of Khaya Mahogany - perfectly seasoned. The
Pickups are a
set Kammerstein Quadrail humbuckers. The pickups are passive and the
battery only is for the
illuminated side dots. This is a hand crafted masterpiece.I have no CNC machine to do my job. Even the clear coat is applied by hand with a brush.
Yeah...sure.....I also have a box full of good spray guns, but I love to apply the clear coat by hand.
Keeps me in touch with the surface all the time and it is challenging and thrilling to do that job with brushes.
Moreover it gives me total control over the clear coat and enables me to apply very thin layers. The neck is made of two stripes of Purple-Heart (Amarant lumber), two stripes pf african Black Wenge and 4 thin stripes of German Oak. The fretboard is made of Pau Ferro. I have installed a mixed fret system with 2.8mm frets from 1 to 12 and 2.3mm frets from 13 to 24 offering a little bit more space between the higher frets. The tuners are multi geared Ratio Locking Tuners made by GraphTech (Canada) If you don´t already know them you really shoul google them - they are awesome. I have installed a Wilkinson VS100 tremolo made by Gotoh in Japan. Plus the Mighty Mite roller nut...that guitar stays in tune nicely. What you don´t see on the pictures: I have installed a dual action stainless steel truss rod. Does not make sense to be stingy with mportant hardware. Always go for the best and do your best to build the best guitar you can :) I have made the pickup rings out of flamed Maple. Theneck has illuminated side dots that can be switched from Red to Blue and Off. The Kammerstein Quadrail pickups can be splitted by push-pull-potentiometers. I have designed my own poti knobs for my guitars so I can lay in matching caps of Wood or stone. You get a lot of warm and fat humbucker sounds as well as a lot of crunchy percusive single-coil sounds. That makes this guitar extremely versatile. I have made a very nicer setup with very low string spacing so that Dragon plays like butter. The neck is a C-shape. The Dragon comes inside a good hard case and including certificate. Hey! It is serial number #009 !!! If you ever wanted to own a guitar that was built by one luthier´s hands, painted by hand and is absolutely unique - this is your chance.
My name is Frank Scheucher.
In my custom shop in Germany I am building unique and individual electric guitars.
My inspiration is to break new ground by using new materials and designing guitars that are not just copies of already existing, successful models.
I always wanted my guitars to have their own character to people say: “Hey, this looks like a Zerberus” as soon as they see one of my guitars.
I very much respect the Vintage style guitars but I think that there also must be room for innovation instead of imitation.
There are a lot of really talented and amazing luthiers out there whom I very much respect, but I always wanted to get off the beaten tracks.
My motto is 6 simple words: Be a voice – not an echo.
I am a one-man-workshop, and that means:
I don´t have millions of Dollars that I can use to push my guitars in the media.
I can´t afford to spend thousands $$ to hire famous guitar players just to play my guitars.
I don´t have the funds to promote my guitars with gigantic booths at each and every exhibition around the globe or on TV shows.
Most of my guitars sell thru word of mouth recommendations and that requires 100% satisfied and happy customers.
I am very proud of my guitars and for me it is very important to have happy and satisfied customers.
I take personal responsibility for the customer satisfaction and I am your contact for all concerns.
Regarding shipment: I have posted a price of $100 shipment in the EU but I suggest to contact me first so I can see if I can give a better quote. There simply is no thing like an all-EU-Price when shipping and once I know the destination I can calculate more accurate. Same for the USA and everywhere else. Better talk to me and let me calculate the exact shipping cost. I usually ship by DHL as a fully insured parcel (I never ship without insurance). Untill Today they never lost or damaged a guitar, but you never know. Better play safe.If you have any questions please feel free to ask right away.

+ - Return Policy Return is accepted. If you don´t like one of my guitars for any reason you can return it and get your money back. You have two weeks to decide if you like the instrument or not. During that time - please handle the guitar carefully. You only have to pay for the shipping cost back to my address.
+ - Shipping Policy Shipping with full insurance by DHL or UPS. I always put great attention to packing. All my guitars ship inside hard case - bubble wrap around, and packed into super stable overseas cardboard box. It does not make sense to ship high end guitars inside flimsy packings. IMPORTANT !!! For shipping rated please contact me first and I will check what shipment will be best.
